The Gift of Salvation
Four things you need to know
1.
You can KNOW for sure
1 John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,…”
2.
You have SINNED
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
3.
The wages of sin is DEATH
Romans 6:23a “For the wages of sin is death,…”
4.
Jesus died for SINNERS
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Four things That need to take place
1.
You must BELIEVE on the Lord
Acts 16:31 “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,…”
2.
You must REPENT
Luke 13:3 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
3.
You must PERSONALLY RECEIVE the Lord
John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
4.
You must CALL upon Him to be saved
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
